PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new feature amount measuring method of a texture variation section by ultrasonic wave capable of measuring the feature amount such as distribution or the like of hardness of the texture variation section by a non-destructive method using normalization processing without cutting or the like of an inspection object. PSOLUTION: The feature amount of the texture variation section of the inspection object 100 is measured by transmitting the ultrasonic wave from a probe 7 to the inspection object 100 and receiving back scattered wave. Reference wave including the back scattered wave is previously received by a reference section. The back scattering intensity ratio is determined by dividing the signal received in the texture variation section by the reference wave and performing the normalization processing. A part of a predetermined hardness in the texture variation section is determined by measuring the depth of the predetermined back scattering intensity ratio corresponding to the predetermined hardness.
