PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an alkenylarom. resin foam excellent in environmental adaptability, compression strength, heat insulation properties, combustibility, and production stability. ;SOLUTION: In the production process for an alkenylarom. resin foam by thermally melting an alkenylarom. resin (pref. polystyrene), mixing the resultant melt with a blowing agent to give a foamable gel, cooling the gel to a temp. suitable for foaming, and extruding the gel through a die into a lower pressure zone to form a foam, a blowing agent contg.
