"NEW ANDROSTAN AND ANDROSTENE DERIVATIVES WITH ASCORBIC ACID AND USE OF THESE IN THE TREATMENT OR PREVENTION OF VARIOUS CONDITIONS, DISEASES AND DISORDERS". The present invention provides novel derivatives comprising compounds in the androstane and androstene series coupled with ascorbic acid, including salts thereof, and represented by one or more of the general formulas (I), (II), (III): where R1 is R 2, R 3, R 4, R 4, R 5, R 6 may individually be chosen from hydrogen, OH, carbonyl, and a portion of ascorbyl; and R 7 may be hydrogen or any halogen.
