"METHODS FOR LISING A BLOOD COGULES, PROTEOLYLY DEGRATING A BLOOD COGULES, TO RESTORE THE DISABLING IN A PERMANENT VASCULAR ACCESS, AND TO RESTORE THE FUNCTION OF A PERMANOUS PERSONAL DEVICE. One method is provided for localized intravascular administration of a fibrinolytic metalloproteinase to a human patient in amounts that are safe and effective to lyse an occluding fibrin-containing blood clot, while also preventing the neutralizing effects of circulating 244 ~ 2 ~ macroglobulin in circulating blood. . A method is also provided for treating a blood clot around or attached to a permanent vascular access device.
