Compositions to enhance immune responses against HPV (human papilloma virus) protein antigens and against tumours exhibiting an HPV protein antigen

A fusion protein comprises a full length M. bovis BCG hsp65 protein, a full length E7 protein from type 16 HPV and a histidine amino acid located between the hsp65 and E7 proteins wherein the fusion protein is capable of inducing an immune response to the E& in a mammal to whom the fusion protein is administered. Nucleic acid encoding the protein, vectors and cells are also described. The fusion protein can be used in the manufacture of a medicament for inducing an immune response against the E7 protein.
