LOW-NOISE FIBER-OPTIC AMPLIFIER

摘要

The proposed low-noise fiber-optic amplifier contains a pumping laser, an optical valve, an active optical fiber, and a demountable optical connector.The optical fiber is placed in grooves with a bending radius that exceeds the minimal allowable radius that prevents the fracture of the fiber. The width and depth of the grooves exceed the diameter of the fiber together with the fiber protective cover and are defined with consideration for probable changes of ambient temperature. The total length of the grooves is equal to, or exceeds, the length of the fiber.
