PROCEDURE FOR DIAGNOSING BONE TISSUE DISORDERS IN CHILDREN WITH ACUTE LEUKEMIAS

The procedure for diagnosing the bone tissue disorders in the children with acute leukemias comprises the assessment of mineral and organic composition of the bones. The alterations in the structure of the bones are assessed by alkaline phosphatase activity in the blood serum. The increase in alkaline phosphatase activity in the blood serum relative to the normal one is indicative of osteoporosis.
