METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING SYNDROME OF DISSEMINATED INTRAVASCULAR BLOOD COAGULATION IN DOGS

The method for diagnosing syndrome of disseminated intravascular blood coagulation in the dogs comprises the examination of the stabilized blood, plasma, and blood serum. In the stabilized blood, the platelets are counted and their aggregation ability is assessed. In blood plasma, prothrombin, thrombin, and activated partial thromboplastin time is measured. Then the concentration of the soluble fibrin monomer complexes and the products of degradation of fibrinogen/fibrin in blood plasma and blood serum are assessed. The values exceeding the normal ones are indicative of the syndrome of disseminated intravascular blood coagulation.
