Integral cleaning of high organics content effluent comprises controlled coagulation and centrifugation, with acidity control and disinfection

The integral cleaning of high-organics-content effluent has straining and homogenization of the effluent, for mixing with flakes obtained later in the process. Coagulation in acid medium by addition of basic additive, and sharp rise in pH with total disinfection with settling of the liquid phase is followed by two centrifugation stages. The first centrifugation is followed by temperature rise, aeration to remove the volatiles, neutralization, flocculation and settling, and the second by ring sand clay and activated carbon filtration operations, for drying of the resulting sludge and carbonation.
