DUAL-PROCESS POWER CABLE WITH INTERCHANGEABLE TIG WELDING TORCH AND SMAW ELECTRODE HOLDER

A power cable with interchangeable TIG torch and SMAWelectrode holder in which the heads can be interchanged quickly without toolsand without the hazard of an exposed electrically hot male connector at theendof the cable. This is accomplished by providing a female receptacle at theheadend of the power cable. The TIG torch and the SMAW electrode holder areeach provided with the same type of male connector for coupling with thefemale receptacle on the head end of the power cable. The male connectorsand the female receptacle may be of the twist-lock or similar variety. Theprovision of a single power cable with interchangeable heads for use in TIGwelding or SMAW reduces confusion at the worksite, reduces the cost ofequipment, and increases flexibility in the welding operations.
