There is provided an information processing device capable of identifying aninhibiting factor inhibiting power saving. The information processing devicehas a plurality of operation modes using different power consumptions andincludes: a main device for changing the operation mode according to a requestfrom a sub-device; an operation mode detection section for detecting theoperation mode of the main device; an inhibiting factor identification sectionfor identifying the sub-device which has transmitted a request to the maindevice or the processing of the main device performed in response to therequest from the sub-device as an inhibiting factor according to the historyof the operation mode of the main device detected by the operation modedetection section.
