The invention relates to a mechanical hand tool for machining workpieces, said hand tool comprising a machining tool (26) and a raising mechanism therefor. Said raising mechanism comprises an eccentric disk (34) which is used to drive a tool-side drive element (25) by means of a lifting movement. The lifting movement of the tool-side drive element (25) can be converted into a working movement of the machining tool (26) with adjustable movement end positions. The eccentric disk (34) and the work-side drive element (25) are supported against each other in the lifting direction by means of a cam carrier (38) with an adjustment cam (40). Said adjustment cam (40) can be moved into the intermediate region between the eccentric disk (34) and the tool-side drive element (25) by means of the eccentric disk (34) rotating about an eccentric rotational axis (37), in order to adjust the movement end positions of the machining tool (26), and follows an incline in the direction of displacement thereof.
