A dynamic traffic control method of a radio network system performing traffic control by varying the radio output of a plurality of radio base stations from a control station in which abrupt variation in the quantity of traffic can be followed up and occurrence of call loss, packet loss or ATM cell loss can be suppressed by measuring the cell-based channel use rate of each radio base station periodically, predicting whether an activity level requiring radio output control of a relevant cell will be reached or not during the next period from the past trend of channel use rate when the channel use rate of each cell is at an alarm level, and reducing the radio output of the relevant cell while increasing the radio output of an adjacent cell if the activity level is predicted to be reached.
