The invention concerns a method for guaranteeing reliability of emergency operating conditions of a motor vehicle tyres. Said motor vehicle is provided with spare tyres having emergency characteristics when their pressure is considerably reduced or insufficient, and a device for determining emergency operating conditions of the vehicle tyres. The invention is characterized in that the running speed limitation limits the motor vehicle running speed when an emergency operating condition is detected.
