An electrolyte solution for dye sensitized solar cells and an oxide semiconductor electrode which enable to prevent combustion and ignition of a cell even under high temperatures. Specifically, an electrolyte solution (7) for dye sensitized solar cells is characterized by containing a phosphazene compound and a redox electrolyte. An oxide semiconductor electrode (6) for dye sensitized solar cells comprises a conductive substrate, an oxide semiconductor layer (4) provided on the conductive substrate, and organic dye adsorbed to the oxide semiconductor layer (4), and is characterized in that the oxide semiconductor layer (4) further contains a phosphazene compound.
