A method is proposed for the simultaneous production of sterols and polar lipids, wherein said subjecting preparations of vegetable lecithins are subjected to ultrafiltration and accumulate on the one hand, the sterols in the permeate and on the other hand, the polar lipids in the retentate and then worked up in a conventional manner.
