PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-wound band brake device which simply and effectively prevents unnecessary contact of a double-wound brake band and a rotor.;SOLUTION: A pair of correction parts 31 are protruded from the rear end part toward an outside band 15 as a core slip correction means to an apply bracket 25. The inner face of the correction parts 31 is slidingly made into contact with the outer circumferential face of the outside band 15, by this, not only at the time of setting but also when the diameter of an intermediate band 11 is reduced by being applied a load from an actuator 7, only pressure contact force of the correction parts 31 and the outside band 15 is enhanced, the intermediate band 11 is not protruded inwardly against the outside band 15, as a result, the double-wound brake band 3, while having a proper interval with a drum 27 over the whole periphery at the time of non-braking, brakes the drum 27 by reducing the diameter in a state close to a complete round at the time of braking.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
