Diversified regulation of the secondary cooling of a continuous casting machine

The secondary cooling system, at a continuous casting machine, is matched to the actual casting operation e.g. the type of steel, casting problems, etc. The segments of the secondary cooling each have dedicated cooling circuits, controlled according to individual nominal values and cooling models which have the casting parameters. A subordinate control circuit computes the required water volumes together with the overall control system.
