METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FERROUS ALLOY/COPPER ALLOY BIMETAL BY DIRECTLY INJECTING MOLTEN COPPER ALLOY INTO THE COVER LAYER AFTER FORMING COVER LAYER ON FERROUS ALLOY MATRIX
PURPOSE: To provide a ferrous alloy/copper alloy bimetal having high bonding strength by directly applying molten copper alloy to a ferrous alloy matrix, and provide a method for manufacturing a ferrous alloy/copper alloy bimetal, which can be applied to various parts having the complicated interface and simplifies manufacturing process to reduce manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of forming a cover layer(2) consisting of tin, zinc, aluminum, nickel or an alloy thereof on a ferrous alloy matrix(1); and forming a bonding layer by inserting the preheated matrix into a mold and injecting a pre-molten copper alloy(3) into a surface of the matrix, wherein thickness of the cover layer is 0.1 m to 1 mm, wherein the method further comprises a step of preheating the matrix to 150 to 850 deg.C after forming the cover layer on the ferrous alloy matrix, wherein the preheating is performed at a reducing or inert gas atmosphere, and wherein an injection temperature of the copper alloy is 50 to 250 deg.C higher than a liquidus line temperature of the copper alloy.
