PURPOSE: A method for calculating an optical call rate system of a mobile terminal is provided to offer a user the lowest call rate and remove a problem that the user should select a call rate in consideration of a call number and a call communication area of high frequency. CONSTITUTION: Personal information of a subscriber and a current call rate system are received and stored(201). Every call rate system is received from a wireless communication provider(202). Call particulars with respect to outgoing calls and incoming calls are classified(203). The personal information of the subscriber and call particulars are analyzed(204). An accumulated call rate is calculated by applying accumulated calls of the call particulars to every call rate system(205). An accumulated call rate obtained by applying a current call rate system and an accumulated call rate obtained by applying the lowest call rate system are outputted(206). A call rate system of a mobile terminal is changed to the lowest call rate system(207,208).
