Facing the ubiquitous connection requirements of all-terrain,all-weather,full scenes,satellite communications play an important role in Satellite-Terrestrial Integrated(STI)systems,as hopefully will happen if 5G/6G architectures will definitively include satellites as valuable elements.As well as wireless terrestrial communications,satellites are susceptible to be jammed and intercepted but the reference link is on the Earth-sky direction.The STI systems are faced with serious challenges in safety and reliability.L,S,C,Ku and Ka bands used in satellite communication systems are overlapped with those used in terrestrial 5G/6G system,so that self-interference problems in Satellite-Terrestrial communication systems deserve careful attention.
