PURPOSE: A lamp mechanism for a vehicle is provided to secure an optical design forming a light distribution pattern regard to a shape of a light emitting area of a light source and to simplify the optical design by using a semiconductor light emitting device to a headlight. CONSTITUTION: A lamp mechanism for a vehicle is composed of a semiconductor light emitting device(102) for generating light; a sealing member(108) made from a material transmitting the light to seal the semiconductor light emitting device; a fixing member(202) for fastening the semiconductor light emitting device at a reference position in which the semiconductor light emitting device is to be attached through the sealing member with fitting the external position of one side of the semiconductor light emitting device; and an optical member for forming at least a portion of a cut line defining a light and darkness boundary of a light distribution pattern by projecting a shape of one side of the semiconductor light emitting device to the outside of the lamp mechanism for the vehicle.
