PURPOSE: A power supply apparatus for BTL(Backplane Transceiver Logic) interfacing in a base station system is provided to cut the cost in embodying a low-priced base station system by supplying the pull-up power of a termination register, required for BTL interfacing, to a backplane without the necessity of additionally configuring an expensive DC/DC converter or a power pack so that inter-board BTL communication can be smoothly executed in a low-priced base station system. CONSTITUTION: A power supply apparatus for BTL interfacing in a base station system consists of a DC/DC module(100), a power switch(200), a diode(300), a CPU(400), and an EPLD(Erasable Programmable Logic Device)(500). The DC/DC module(100) receives +27V from a backplane, converts it into 5V, pull-up power for BTL interfacing, and outputs it to the power switch(200). The power switch(200), driven with a power_on signal inputted from the EPLD(500), outputs a power of 5V, inputted from the DC/DC module(100), to the diode(300). The diode(300) outputs the power to the backplane. The CPU(400) outputs a power drive control signal to the EPLD(500) in order to supply the pull-up power to the backplane. The EPLD(500) outputs a power-on/off signal to the power switch(200) according to the power drive control signal.
