PURPOSE: A bipolar battery and its preparation method are provided, to improve smear fastness, heat resistance, sealing property, electrolyte solution resistance, vibration isolation and impact resistance. CONSTITUTION: The bipolar battery(1) comprises a bipolar electrode(5) which comprises a current collector(4), a positive electrode layer(2) formed on one surface of the current collector, and a negative electrode layer(3) formed on the other surface of the current collector; an electrolyte layer(6) which layers the bipolar electrode continuously through the electrolyte layer to form a layered structure by serial connection; and a resin part which coats the positive electrode layer, the negative electrode layer and the electrolyte layer. Preferably at least some part of the current collector is coated with a resin part, and the rest is exposed to form an exposure part.
