TRAFFIC DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY RECOGNIZING A TRANSITION PATTERN OF THE NECESSARY TRAVEL TIME FOR AN AUTOMOBILE FOR EACH UNIT ROAD

PURPOSE: A system for managing traffic information with high prediction accuracy is provided to solve traffic congestion by transmitting traffic information with high prediction accuracy to drivers. CONSTITUTION: A first processing unit(110) recognizes a progress pattern of time required for movement of a vehicle(20) on a road basis. A second processing unit(120) recognizes a route on which the vehicle moves based on communication with an equipment installed on the vehicle. A third processing unit(130) retrieves a pattern similar to a reference pattern recognized by the first processing unit at a reference period from patterns which had been recognized by the first processing unit. A fourth processing unit(140) predicts time required for movement of the vehicle on the route recognized by the second processing unit based on the similar pattern retrieved by the third processing unit. A communication processing unit transmits traffic information including the predicted time by the fourth processing unit to a navigation system(200) mounted on the vehicle.
