PURPOSE: A wired/wireless composite communication device and a communication method thereof are provided to prevent a waste of bandwidth by preventing the traffic of a network from being propagated to a different network while a wireless network interface is operating in an ad-hoc mode. CONSTITUTION: After a management list is generated(S800), when a control module is started, a packet transmitter of the control module checks whether a transmission packet to be transmitted to a network is received from an upper layer(S810). When the packet transmitter receives a transmission packet, a list checking unit of the control module checks whether a type of a destination address of the transmission packet indicates a unicast transmission or a multicast or broadcast transmission(S830). If the type of the destination address means the unicast transmission, the list checking unit checks whether the destination address of the transmission packet has been registered for the management list(S840). If the destination address of the transmission packet has been registered, a packet transmitting unit transmits the transmission packet to the corresponding address through a wired/wireless network interface according to an interface identifier(S850). If the destination address of the transmission packet has not been registered, a packet transmitting/receiving unit delivers the transmission packet to a wired transmitter and to a wireless transmitter to transmit it to a wired/wireless network(S860).
