PURPOSE: A reverse-preventing structure during traveling is provided to prevent breakage of a tooth surface of a change gear and to improve durability of a transmission, by restricting shift to reverse if a vehicle advances although the vehicle travels at high speed and the change gear is in the neutral position. CONSTITUTION: A reverse-preventing structure during traveling comprises a reverse shutoff shaft(51) arranged to the lower side of the side of a shift rail(50) for a 5-speed and reverse; a change gear engaging with an output shaft gear(60) of a transmission and rotating; a bearing(53) supporting the reverse shutoff shaft; and a returning spring(54) returning the reverse shutoff shaft to the original direction. The change gear is formed to the reverse shutoff shaft. The bearing is situated on the lower side of the reverse shutoff shaft.
