METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STEM PORTION OF ELECTRON GUN, CAPABLE OF PREVENTING OXIDATION OF DUMETS BY FUSION-WELDING DUMETS OF LEAD PINS TO GLASS FOR MAIN BODY AT STATE WHERE GAS PROTECTIVE FILM IS FORMED
PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a stem portion of an electron gun is provided to prevent a crack at the main body of the stem portion by preventing an oxidation of dumets when lead pins are fusion-welded to the main body. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step of arranging a plurality of lead pins between a glass for a main body(15) of a stem portion of an electron gun and a glass for an air evacuation pipe(16); a step of forming a gas protective film by spraying a predetermined gas to the fusion-welded portion between the lead pins and the glass for the main body of the stem portion of the electron gun, such that the surfaces of the lead pins are prevented from being oxidized by the fusion-welding; and a step of fusion-welding the lead pins to the glass for the main body, at the state where the gas protective film is formed.
