COPIER AND A METHOD FOR CORRECTING A COPIED DOCUMENT TO OBTAIN THE COPIED DOCUMENT WITH A POSITION AND A SIZE SAME WITH AN IMAGE OF AN ORIGINAL DOCUMENT

PURPOSE: A copier and a method for correcting a copied document are provided to obtain the copied document with a position and a size same with an image of an original document by automatically correcting the position and amplification of the copied document whenever the original document is copied. CONSTITUTION: A correction factor storing unit(66) stores position and size correction factors of image data of a copied document with respect to image data of an original document having a certain pattern. An operating panel(60) selectively inputs a correction function. If the correction function is selected by the operating panel, a control unit(70) compares the image data of the copied document with the image data of the original document, calculates a position and size correction factor, and stores the position and size correction factor in the correction factor storing unit. The control unit corrects image data output through an image output unit(64) on the basis of the stored correction factor whenever the original document is copied.
