PURPOSE: A swivel hinge and a portable terminal using the swivel hinge are provided to use magnets such that a rotating display can stop in a predetermined position of a body while rotating in horizontal direction, thereby relatively simplifying a swivel hinge configuration for smoothing the rotation the display and realizing an easy assembling process. CONSTITUTION: The first hinge axis portion(20) comprises the first hinge axis(24). The second hinge axis portion(30) comprises the second hinge axis(34) extended so as to be orthogonal with an extended direction of the first hinge axis(24). The first and second magnets(26,36) are configured, wherein different poles thereof are faced together in corresponding positions of the first hinge axis portion(20) and the second hinge axis portion(30). The first and second magnets(26,36) generate magnetism pulling each other.
