PURPOSE: A suspension assembly of a hard disk drive and a limiting method of a pitching operation thereof are provided to enable limiters to maintain a flat state of a flexure beam, so that a head and a disk can be plane-contacted with each other when a head slap occurs, thereby minimizing damage of the head and the disk caused by the head slap. CONSTITUTION: A suspension assembly has a flexure beam(44) and a load beam(46). A head is attached to a gimbal of the flexure beam(44). The flexure beam(44) comprises one pair of limiters(48) extended to pass through slots(49) formed in the load beam(46). The limiters(48) are extended from the flexure beam(44), and are separated from each other at certain intervals from the load beam(46) when a disk drive is normally operated. The one pair of the limiters(48) are separated from each other along a length directional axis of the flexure beam(44).
