PURPOSE: Provided is a composition comprising triterpene based compounds which have immune regulating activity. Therefore, the composition increases the synthesis of IgG2a while inhibiting synthesis of Th2 cytokines, IL-4 and IL-5 and thus prevents and treats allergic diseases and improves immunotherapy efficacies. CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical composition for prevention and treatment of allergic diseases and immunotherapy is characterized by containing triterpene based compounds as active ingredients. The triterpene based compounds include adianane, arborene, cucurbitacin, dammarane, eburicane, euphane, fernane, friedelin, hopane, lanostane, lupane, meliacane, oleanane, protostane, serratane and taraxerane.
