RETARGETABLE EMULATION DEVICE FOR VERIFYING DIVERSE TARGET SYSTEMS USING MCU OR ARM CORE, MICROCOMPUTER DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME, AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A retargetable emulation device for verifying diverse target systems using an MCU(Micro Controller Unit) or an ARM(Advanced RISC Machine) core, a microcomputer development system equipped with the same, and a method thereof are provided to easily verify operation/debugging of the target systems in real-time by updating an operation program of a new version needed for the target system. CONSTITUTION: A flash memory(220) updates/stores the new operation program by an emulation firmware protocol in response to an update control signal and outputs the corresponding operation program in a page unit by responding to a read control signal. The DMA(Direct Memory Access)(230) outputs the update/read control signal in a DMA mode by responding to an update/read access signal. An UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter)/USB(Universal Serial Bus) interface(240) outputs target verification control information received from a host computer(100), receives/outputs the new operation program inputted from the host computer by transmitting firmware download control signal, and transmits target verification result information.
