PURPOSE: A speaker connecting device is provided to correctly connect a speaker wire to a speaker and a terminal of the main body of the connecting device without confusing the polarity of the speaker wire. CONSTITUTION: A speaker connecting device for connecting a speaker wire(W) to a speaker or the main body of an amplifier of a home theater system includes a main body(90), a clamping member(50), a tightening ring(60), and a spring(70). The clamping member consists of a body(52) having a hole(52a) through which the speaker wire passes and a head integrated with the front part of the body. The head has a hole(54a) connecting with the hole of the body. The clamping member has an inclined face(56) at the front part and has elasticity. The clamping member is inserted into the tightening ring such that the tightening ring tightens the head of the clamping member. The spring elastically supports the tightening ring.
