PURPOSE: An automatic following golf cart is provided which requires no particular facilities or assistant for operating a car and thereby reduces cost. CONSTITUTION: A car(C) consists of a car body for mounting a golf bag(GB) and a few driving wheels(10a,10b) for moving the car body. A driving and direction changeover unit moves the car(C) and adjusts the direction. A direction and distance detection unit(200) detects the direction of a user(11) and detects the distance between the car and the user(11). A control box controls the driving and direction changeover unit to be driven and moved while always keeping a predetermined distance from the user(11) based on data detected from the direction and distance detection unit(200).
