PURPOSE: An apparatus for making compost from the fermented feed and the waste organic material and its driving method are provided, to save the cost for treating the liquefied one and the polluted water. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a fermentation tank(2) having an injection hole(4b) having a door(4a) and a discharge hole having another door(6a), and comprising a fermentation room, an apparatus room and a water path separated by at least one separation wall; an air diffuser(12) engaged from the one side of the fermentation tank to a concentration region; an air pump placed in the concentration pipe; a stirring part(32) set at the center of the both separation walls forming the inner fermentation room; a driving means(42) connected with the stirring part(32) and operated according to the impressing of current; a filter medium layer(44) loaded in the fermentation room; a control part connected with the driving means(42) electrically to control the operation of the driving means according to the input program; and an operation part connected with the control part electrically to input the signal corresponding to the selection mode. The method comprises the steps of determining whether the waste organic material is supplied to the filter medium layer(44) through the injection hole(4b) according to the input signal from the control part; receiving the input program corresponding to the selection mode according to another input signal from the control part; counting the lapse time according to the input program; and operating the driving means(42) at the control state according to the input program.
