PURPOSE: Provided is a method for making barium titanate powder having a high purity, an uniform composition and a narrow particle size distribution suitable to be used in the production of high-quality electronic components. CONSTITUTION: The method for making a barium titanate powder comprises: the step(S10) for forming a mixed solution of a Ba metal salt, a Ti metal salt and a Ti-alkoxide; the step(S20) for adding aqueous hydrogen peroxide to the mixed solution; the step(S30) for adding dropwise the mixed solution to aqueous ammonia to form co-precipitates; and the step(S60) for synthesizing the co-precipitates hydrothermally to obtain the barium titanate powder.
