Network Management System with Re-configuration Function of ATM Network

摘要

PURPOSE: A network management system having a function of reconfiguring an ATM communication network is provided to automate a network reconfiguration operation when inserting or adding an exchange to the ATM network, thereby reducing a cost of reconfiguring the network. CONSTITUTION: A network management system(200) inputs link and port information and exchanges(110-170) when adding to or deleting the exchanges(110-170) from an ATM network(100), and performs a deleting command based on inputted deletion information, then stores the deletion information in a deletion database. The network management system(200) performs an adding command based on inputted adding information, and stores the adding information in an adding database. The network management system(200) compares the stored deletion information with the stored adding information, and generates a list file for connections in the exchanges(110-170). The network management system(200) performs a setup command to set or cancel the connections of the exchanges(110-170) based on the list file.
