PURPOSE: A vegetation block is provided to function as a retaining wall or an embankment by forming space and environment for spawning and inhabitation and to restore and conserve an ecosystem. CONSTITUTION: In the vegetation block(100) used for installing a retaining wall on a road or an embankment of a river, a rugged part is formed on the outer surface of a front(101) to have natural beauty, a projection(101) is formed on right and left side walls(102,103) and the front(101) to assemble unit block structures easily, plane placers(102p,103p) are extended to a projection(101t) on the right and left side walls and formed on the upper ends of the right and left side walls(102,103) to be lower than the projection(101t) relatively, and a through hole is formed on the bottom(104) to drain the rainwater and surface water permeated into the block structure smoothly and to convey water when a block body is installed under the water.
