The system embedded in a car, picks up an Infrared or radio signal which contains current traffic rules and controls the light distribution of the front lights according to current street categories. At the beginning of a motorway the user is notified and during a fixed time interval, information about a road category is conveyed. The data transfer frequency is 433 MHz.
