A method for making use of expert knowledge in which the data of a number of experts is stored in a data bank, and the technical characteristics of a development to be carried out are ascertained and entered in the data bank and then the expert knowledge or experts identified during the evaluation is polled. Subsequently, a quality assessment of the detected expert knowledge is carried out and the formation of a group of the highly-qualified experts is undertaken and within the experts group, processing of the information for problem solving follows. An independent claim is included for a device for utilizing the experts knowledge.
