Vehicle airbag (3, 4, 5,6) safety arrangement in which there are at least two airbags with at least two sensors (7, 10, 12) that are sensitive to impacts in different directions. The arrangement is configured so that a first airbag will trigger if a threshold value is reached and a second airbag will trigger if a second impact threshold is detected. The arrangement is further configured so that for a limited defined period after the first impact the second airbag will trigger if a second impact is greater than a reduced threshold value.
