The embossing cylinder is seamless and the structures represented on the cylinder are produced with an defined angle asymmetrical gouge. The angle of the asymmetrical gouge is 35-50 degrees on one side and 60-85 degrees on the other side. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) security elements, packages, circuit boards, protective structures for e.g. transistors based on metals or semiconductors or conducting polymers, conducting tracks, biochips etc.
