Adaptive optical arrangement for focussing a light beam with a focussing element, whose optically effective surface is adjusted in a control loop comprising at least an actuator and a control arrangement. The actuator is a solid body thermal actuator (TA) with a coefficient of heat expansion that differs from that of the focussing element (FE). It has a push-fit connection to the focussing element and causes a deformation of the focus element when it is heated. Thermal actuator and focussing element form a bimorphous structure.
