The method involves loading the seat (10) with a seat-testing device (24) which has the corresponding heat loss and/or heat capacity of a person. The seat heating is then activated and the temperature change in the region of the seat surface is measured. The seat-testing device is loaded on the seat with a selected reference temperature. An independent claim is also included for a mechanism used in the method.
