The lamp cover (4a) forms an optical conductor. A second light source (5) couples light into a side surface of the cover. The cover includes imperfections, e.g. grooves, bubbles, injection-molded prisms. They can be surface- or in-depth imperfections, optionally laser-induced. These scatter light coupled into the cover, into the passenger compartment interior. The first lamp is incandescent or fluorescent, the second comprises LEDs.
