A frequency dependent vertical loudspeaker array panning method uses a filter bank (1) or FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) frequency transformation for individual amplitude weighting (2) with optional additional comb filter for the high frequencies to reduce the comb filter effect and minimise the sound image size. Independent claims are included for equipment using the method.
