A frequency converter (10) for static run-up device (1), comprises mains-side converter (11) a generator side converter (12) and a DC link (13), via which the first current converter (11) is joined to the second current converter, in which the DC-link (13) has a first part circuit (13a) and a second part circuit (13b), and in the first part circuit (13a) of the DC link (13) is arranged a first current reactor/choke (14a). In the second part circuit of the DC link (13) is arranged a current reactor/choke (14b) : An independent claim is given for a static run-up device, especially for gas turbine installation.
