Vehicle fuel consumption optimization system generating a force signal dependent on fuel consumption and acceleration pedal position

The consumption optimization system is provided in a vehicle with an accelerator or gas pedal (1), a control device (4) and a motor control device (3) which controls the vehicle engine (2). The control device (4) generates a force which acts on the accelerator pedal in addition to the pedal return force. The control device is arranged such that it generates the force in dependence on a fuel consumption determined by the motor control device and on a position of the accelerator pedal.
