RNA aptamers (I), or their alleles and/or derivatives, that bind specifically to lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP) are new. An independent claim is also included for a method for preparing and/or isolating (I). ACTIVITY : Antibacterial; Immunosuppressive. No details of tests for these activities are given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Inhibition of LBP, a key component in the lipopolysaccharide-induced signaling cascade.
